Hello Friends! Considering this is my first post ever on this new site that I spontaneously and impulsively created, I am going to keep it pretty broad. If you want to know some info. about me you can click the about page. If that doesn't give you much then feel free to email me or post on the community page and I'd be happy to make a blog post or update my about me page.
Anyways, in my 'about' page you can gather that the majority of the content on this site will be directed towards eating disorders and such. However I am open to other conversation and completely excited to see where this takes me, wherever it may go. To start off, I want to talk about the discrimination an eating disorder ensues. I think a lot of the time when someone brings up this topic they automatically think it's relating to a female going through this struggle. Specifically a young girl, in their teens, going through a hormonal, crazy time. And although that fits my bill perfectly, that's not always the case. Unfortunately, eating disorders don't discriminate. You can be a 16 year-old girl or a 37 year-old guy. Eating disorders don't care. People need to forget the stereotypical 'noremal' that people associate with an eating disorder. Everyone can have a mental problem that manifest into an eating disorder. It doesn't make a man lesser, it doesn't make a woman weak, it just means that their problems have surfaced through in an unbelievably ugly and horrific way; an eating disorder. please please please comment your thoughts! lets get this rolling!!
